David McCallum, CPA – Controller
David joined TIP Capital as its Controller in 2004. David directs all accounting functions to provide management with the necessary financial information to plan, operate and control the business. He is also responsible for external reporting requirements to investors, banks, lease funding sources, and external auditors. He manages the preparation of all federal, state and local tax filings, as well as foreign income, payroll, sales and use, and property tax filings.
Prior to joining the company David spent thirteen years in public accounting with Plante & Moran. With Plante & Moran, David managed audits, reviews and compilation engagements and consulted with clients on accounting, tax planning, and other general business matters. These services were provided to clients in a variety of industries with a concentration in leasing companies.
David earned his Masters degree from Walsh College and Bachelors degree from the University of Michigan – Dearborn. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and Michigan Association of Certified Public Accountants. David earned the Elijah Watt Sells Award on the May 1991 Uniform CPA Examination.
